Global Roots
Model Project

Global Roots is raising funds for a project to transition degraded agricultural land that is used for livestock production to plant-based systems and conservation. The model project uses a holistic approach binding conservation, regenerative agriculture, nutritional science, and education in a community food hub. The model relies on community land trusts to ensure lasting impact and equitable governance. We envision this project as a first demonstration of how this model can be applied to a variety of contexts around the world where livestock production and consumption is having outsized impacts.

Below is a potential model for transitioning 100 acres.
