Lovell Peach trees are often used as rootstock for grafting other varieties of peach, nectarine, apricot, plum, or almond trees. The rootstock is disease-resistant and can tolerate wet conditions better than other rootstocks. Lovell Peach trees are also well-anchored, vigorous, and long-lived. Lovell Peach trees should be planted 15–20 feet apart and annually. They will bear fruit in about 4–6 years. It is recommended to grow in place for one year before grafting different varieties. Our lovell rootstocks are grown from seed and are some very vigourous, growing up to 7' in thier first season. Pruned for better shipping rates.
