Yamhill Hazelnut is a variety released by Oregon State University with resistance to Eastern Filbert Blight disease and big bud mite. With high yields of flavorful nuts and a long bloom period, this is a favorite for commercial orchardists. Plant with Jefferson for cross-pollination to ensure maximum potential yield. Seedlings were open pollinated with blight resistant selections. These trees are perfect for edible hedgerows, erosion control, wildlife, and backyard orchardists. Can be pruned to grow with one stem or allowed to grow as a bush and sucker freely.
